Terms and Conditions

Your rights when you buy from us;

Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 for online purchases and phone orders, consumers have a right to cancel orders within 7 working days, beginning the day after the goods are received. This covers even changing your mind but you must return the goods at your own cost. Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, there are implied terms in our agreement that the goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for the intended purpose and as described. Should this not be the case, we will be responsible for a full refund including all postage costs (both ways).

Rights we give you in addition to the above:

At TCD, we endeavour to offer the best service possible and offer a returns policy if the goods are returned at the customer’s cost within 28 days (undamaged or in the same condition). This is in addition to your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 and Sale of Goods Act 1979.

Our parts are subject to inspection, tagging and computer logging so a restocking fee of 20% plus the initial postage costs (if appropriate) will be payable by the buyer, up to a maximum of £100.

The customer is also responsible for the cost of safe return of the item to us (undamaged or in the same condition as supplied) All or any ancillaries not ordered but included with purchases at the time of delivery are not subject to a contract for the transfer of goods and are therefore not covered by any specified warranty.

However, if goods that are the subject of the contract are returned, we also require the return of the ancillaries. For example, a fuel pump not subject to the contract but left on an engine is an ancillary and would therefore not be covered by the warranty but would also need returning with the contracted goods.

Engines & Gearboxes:

The term 'Engine' for the purposes of any specified warranty will be regarded as the following, but not limited to: Cylinder Head(s), Camshaft(s), Valves, Block, Pistons, Con-rods, Big end & Little end Barings, Crankshaft. Where applicable, new Cam belts & Water Pumps must be fitted to all engines prior to use. All of our engines are drained of Oil & Water and these must be renewed upon installation. Our additional warranty specifically excludes the following: Clutch plate, Clutch pressure plate, flywheel and or damage caused by the customer or their agents.

The term 'Gearbox' for the purposes of any specified warranty will include all internal workings and outer casings being in good serviceable condition (unless specified otherwise) at the time of sale. Where applicable our gearboxes are drained of oil and this must be renewed upon installation. Our additional warranty specifically excludes the following: Clutch slave cylinders or cables, thrust bearings and or damage caused by the customer or their agents.
